The "GPS waypoint overlaid" versions (see below) contain the same information as
the "bare" versions, but they contain marked GPS "waypoints" for:

| The file containing the waypoint data can be uploaded to a variety of types of GPS receiver using an appropriate cable and a program called GPSU, which is the excellent "GPS Utility". |

GPS Waypoint Data (location IDs and Grid References) GPSU .txt files are plain text files that are read and written by GPS Utility, an excellent program available from here. No claim is made here that this data is accurate or fit for any particular purpose. |

Although a small file this contains over 400 waypoints (grid references and IDs) for the area north of Horwich, from Smithhills across to White Coppice, and up to Abbey Village, Tockholes and Sunnyhurst Woods. These are printed in the overlaid maps above. |
